Pam Morris founded Beadwave out of her love of the natural treasures of the earth. From as early as she can remember, Pam always loved gemstones and crystals. She was a junior gemologist and joined every gem society and rock collecting group that she could. Every walk in the woods or on the beach yielded a treasure trove of natural beauties - to create a beautiful piece of jewelry to admire or just a gorgeous stone or shell to appreciate as a piece of art.
This love of stones carried through her years as a corporate/employment lawyer. The jewelry making and stone collecting was a haven in her free time. She took various jewelry making classes from a variety of artists and goldsmiths both locally and throughout the world. Much like her early days of collecting in the woods, business travel to exotic locales were a great opportunity for Pam to try to squeeze in as much time as she could to sample the stones and art work of the world.
Wonderful things started happening when Pam would wear her creations and unique finds. Gallery owners and buyers for important stores throughout the New York metro area wanted to buy her creations for their customers. Now Pam could share her love of the stones with others and she was delighted! The siren call of the stones and the art that could be created from them was so great that Pam decided to have her law career take second place to her first and always love!
